Welcome to the KB2UKA ESSB Forum—glad you’re here.

This forum was created to give ESSB operators a dedicated, signal-to-noise-ratio–friendly space to talk about what actually matters: high-fidelity amateur radio audio. No scattered comments, no disappearing posts, no algorithm-driven nonsense—just solid discussion and shared knowledge.

What this forum is for

This is the place to:

Discuss ESSB audio chains (hardware, software, or hybrid)

Talk processing philosophy, not just presets

Compare gear, mics, interfaces, processors, and radios

Share on-air recordings and give or receive constructive feedback

Ask questions and help others level up their audio

Preserve information so it doesn’t get lost

Whether you’re running a full broadcast-style rack or you’re just starting to explore ESSB beyond stock audio, you belong here.

Forum culture (important)

To keep this community strong:

Be respectful and constructive

Critique audio and ideas, not people

No gatekeeping—everyone starts somewhere

Keep discussions technical, helpful, and on-topic

Disagreements are fine; ego wars are not

This is about raising the bar together, not proving who’s right.

Get started

If you’re new, we encourage you to:

Introduce yourself and your station

Share what you’re running (or what you’re trying to build)

Jump into discussions where you can learn or contribute

Lurking is fine—but participation is what makes this place valuable.

Thanks for being part of the community. I’m looking forward to the discussions, the recordings, and the knowledge we build here together.

73,
Doug – KB2UKA

Good morning to the whole group, my name is Carlo and my call sign is iu2lzq. My station is made up of: Yaesu FT-DX 101 MP, Icom IC-7100, Kenwood TS-950SDX full line, and Kenwood TS-2000X. As an ESSB enthusiast, I am happy to participate in this group, so I can improve my station and others, through my experience, and that of others. Thanks 73
